I'm guessing he's benefited alot from tutelage given by Baines looking at his moves. I think he's progressed so much from last season where he, after a promising start, looked like he'd never be a player. The right back position suits him perfectly and having a proper winger in front of him (and sometimes Naisy) also gives him space to make those runs to. Love him. I can't believe how boss our side is at the moment with Howard being the only obvious weak link in our strongest eleven.
He has had some good deliveries that have earned us points this season, I'll definitely give him credit for that. But I would be curious to see what his crosses to chance creation ratio, I'm guessing it's relatively low. I'm not trying to knock him, it's something that will improve with time as he gets more comfortable on the ball.idk I think his end product has been pretty good so far this season.
I love his effort and his attacking threat. His manic running style makes me laugh and love him like I did the Straq, but his end product is utter, utter horse sh*t. Sorry, but for all the opportunities he gets to put the ball in the box, he tends to hit the first man way too often or simply put the ball in the wrong area. He is a very average crosser of a ball and I think I'm being kind there. Hopefully he can work on it and improve - and I think he has, to an extent - but I don't and probably won't ever see him as a long term solution to our recent right back problems. Fellaini was rightly giving him an earful on the quality of the delivery on Sunday as it was dreadful.
This is before we get onto his defensive capabilities, which, although improving, aren't really up to it, or at least aren't consistent enough. Where would we be had we held out at Fulham and Reading?
*Cue him putting in a fantastic all-round performance tomorrow, leaving me looking like a bad tit, hopefully.
Hope the same thing happens with Oviedo!

I think he is improving with each game under his belt. He is learning to balance out between attacking and defending and I think its improving but not there yet. Still worries me when defending in our box as he looks likely to lose his head and just jump in. Overall he is improving and that can only be a good thing for the team in terms of attacking.
