Legalise it then.

Obviously not you personally (unless you actually have the power to do so, in which case sort it out lad).
I honestly would legalise it although I suspect no party would have the guts to do so. Quite quickly, I suspect a lot of major networks would soon destabilise.

It wouldn't be anyone could sell it, but rather registered establishments with a license (pharmacies like a pub does) and would have certain limitations on quantity.

However, we could be able to buy it in much higher quantities directly from the supplier (bringing them some legalise normality), so the quality could be assured.

I would even start by subsiding it to some extent, so if people do want it from 'Darren around the corner' they would either pay over the odds or get crap quality.

This would help ensure that in the mainstay people would buy it from legalised channels, where health can be checked through the NHS etc.

Don't get me wrong, the situation isn't perfect and would have many issues as well, but I think it would be much better than the current status quo that we have.

The war on drugs is very, very costly and isn't really working, and the criminal and health impact the unchecked trade has is always a terror on society.

I’ve got a friend who does it round the house on a weekday because he feels he can’t function properly without it. I’ve seen good friends slowly get into it on nights out and over time their personalities have completely changed. I know of families that have been ripped apart because of it. It’s a vile drug.
Your use of hyperbole is reassuringly strambotic. Families are never split up by drugs, are they? They're always ripped apart, rent asunder, torn to shreds. Funny that, don't you think? And not in a ha ha way.

Coke might cost more, but once you have a drinking problem it doesnt matter how it costs, its still going to take all your money to feed that habit.
It isn't that simple though: if you're addicted to alcohol, you are often able to find suitable alternatives that are cheaper, which unfortunately fuels the habit.

You can't afford to drink expensive spirits, so you get onto drinking crap. Cocaine on the other hand, like many drugs, is an expensive habit that remains expensive.

A £30 bag is a £30 bag and when people become addicted it can quite quickly spiral into huge costs, often with significant debts, because it doesn't get cheaper.

So then what? This is why people who are on the coke or want to score are forced into other forms of criminal behaviour.
