Why does football believe that footballers don't have to practice social distancing like the rest of us, I'm waiting for them to suggest that all the players get tested before a game while nurses and doctors can't even get tested, time they stepped into the real world
Ignoring the human aspect for a moment, its amazing that some people are prepared to risk multi million pound assets in this situation. We know Covid19 can affect the lungs, we don't know whether any of this damage is permanent, statistically some players will have asthma to some degree and be more susceptible to permanent damage, to consider risking many of our multi million pound assets by grouping them all together with others who, some of which wont stick to the World cu[ style base camp quarantine restrictions being touted, is fanciful and potentially costly. Whoever is suggesting it has an agendum.
intersting point on sports radio this morning was that this is simply considering a route to accelerate football at top level returning, no-one knows when or competing for what season (21/22???) but this clearing the FA touting a route to get back before full stadiums will be safe to do so.
I don't think they necessarily are; one thing the FA make clear is this is a consideration if it is safe to do so.
At some stage when the worst is over there will probably be a situation whereby you can return to work / uni / school etc if you are not showing any symptoms, which will be long before large gatherings such as a full stadium can go ahead.
It will be a strange dystopian world where you walk into anywhere and there is someone taking your temperature around every corner.
