Quite possible. It seems they are quite far down the road of developing a vaccine, but it will take considerable time to test it and mass produce it. Never mind the time it will take to administer it.

The two ways to combat this are (a) produce a vaccine which then creates mass immunity to the virus or (b) find an effective way to treat or cure the symptoms. Until such time as either of these things happen, then we will see social distancing enforced on and off to keep the pressure off the health service. Even the strategy of “herd immunity”, i.e. letting a large percentage of the population contract the virus, will take a couple of years to work.

I’m clinging to hope mate. Very difficult to do in these times. But I’m sure there are lots of very clever people working on it round the clock.
