He's doing wonders for my fantasy team. Rated him for a while to be honest. Would've loved to have him here a couple of years ago but now he's getting on a bit and think our limited funds would be best spent on an actual striker. Doubt we could afford him or he'd want to come anyway. NEXT..

I bet you think he's world class Kay don't you??, he's a player that does well in a team with absolutely no expectation whatsoever, a club who average 25,000 and take 23 fans to away games, if he came here , he would be a Bily Mark 2 in no time, he has no position he doesn't score enough goals ( this season an exception) to be an out an out striker and has zero creativity that we are starving for, enough to play in the whole , were hopefully Barkley will get a chance sooner rather than later, Clint Dempsey is an average footballer who will command a 7/8 m pound fee= no chance

That's this season empty head, when you sign a player you sign him on a 4-5 year contract Tim Cahill has been a far better player in the premier league for the last 6 seasons , I know who I'd have in my team , maybe not now Tim looks finished , but in general Dempsey is a poor man's Cahill, people will know what I mean even if you don't

We are not needing someone who can score from 30 yards, we are looking for someone who can just 'score'. Dempsey is proving himself, wouldn't cost a huge amount and would probaly consider coming to us.

Fact of the matter is...

The next time you actually rate an american footballer will be the first. He's got 15 goals this season already as a midfielder. He scored double digits last season as well. We can agree to disagree on who has been better over the last 5 years cahill or demps but this fact has to count for something. Only 4 players have scored at least 6 goals in the PL over the last 5 years. Van persie, Lampard, Rooney and yes Clint the american Dempsey. That says ALOT to me.

Whoah there!!!! Lets take off our blue tinted specs for a second!

Cahill has offered us one thing. Goals. He isn't especially good at passing, he can't take a player on and his tackling is terrible. What he offered was that amazing ability with his head. When he isn't scoring people get on his back because he doesn't offer us anything else, but when he is on the scoresheet we all love him and forget his other failings.

Can't really comment on Dempsey as I don't watch Fulham all that much and don't watch the USMNT.

Id agree with most of that, but to say Cahill offers us nothing else isn't right.

He knew exactly where to be when the ball came through Howard and skimmed off the Duffmans head. No doubt he's lost his mojo, but getting on the scoresheet will do wonders for him over the next few games.
