CLATTENBERG RETURNS

I must have blocked that derby from my memory, but i've just had a look at "highlights" from that game and my god i've never seen such a corrupt refereeing performance. Not giving the penno for Lescott being hauled down at the end is bad enough, but the Hibbert red card was outrageous. He actually has the yellow card in his hand until good old Stevie has a word, and then promptly changes it to red. Fuming here!!! Koff' Battenburg

It's ingrained in my mind mate, hate Clattenberg.

He refereed us at Villa in a 1-1 draw in January 2012. I was at the game, and the abuse he got was relentless from the first minute. Funnily enough, he had a decent game. No major decisions to make

He actually missed a totally blatant tug on Saha as he was attempting a diving header in that game as well, wasn't even subtle. It's mentioned about halfway down in this Sky report of the game http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/238077/report

i remember Clive Thomas Comning to Goodison after the way he disallowed Hamilton's Goal.
We played Villa'He walked on and we gave him ****e.He then jokingly
went to walk back off.We won I think 4-1. and he gave us a penno.Things might not be so bad
with this drone.

He probably give stevie g la a ring before the match asking him which way to give it

Its on sky sports, half 1 kick off

It's not, the 1:30pm game being shown on Sky that day is Newcastle vs Arsenal.

The Southampton game got switched to the Sunday because both Everton and Southampton agreed to give their players an extra 24 hours rest after playing on Boxing Day.

It got switched to 1:30pm because the league told Everton it had to kick off at either 1:30pm or 4pm in order to assist overseas tv broadcasters showing the game.

so, either he owes us, or he stuffs us. Surely he's just got to do the job properly or there will be a huge stink. Giving us Mason and C********* in the next three games is an "interesting choice" shall we say.

This day had to come some time. The Premier League/ FA have not had him at Goodison all this time, why didn't they publicly criticise him and punish him after that derby?

Because what he supposedly said (and did?) had much wider implications for them than just him and Everton. It was almost institutional bias towards a certain team (which clearly didn't work as they are only now working their way up on their own merit). It almost exposed the kind of football corruption which won't come out for decades . That dropping of the misconduct charge for moyes was very telling
