After coming across a video of that blurt on ITV/BT getting all excited at Liverpool clapping Iker Casillas last night I wanted to know who did it first us or them?

We all know they like to think they invented most things such as singing on the terraces, Trabs, Adidas, and they’re greatest achievement, going the pub with their mates for a pint.

So who did it first lads.

Not a chance they would have clapped him if they were losing, when they beat teams they are everyone's favourite opposing fans. When they are losing, they are the worst bells going.

Remember they went to the Chelsea hotel early hours in the morning, making as much noise as possible to try and keep them up before the game that Gerrard slipped in? Not surprised at all the media got a semi on over that last night, standard kopite behaviour.

It used to be customary at most grounds up until the 80's I'd say, before we became a nation of self centered bells who have no respect for anyone but themselves. Personally, I blame Thatcher and Tebbit. In fact, it was not uncommon to applaud a good piece of skill by an opposing player.
Looks to the past with misty eyes.

Clapping the opposition keeper is always something one does isn’t it? I’m not even being funny, I genuinely applaud the opposition goalkeeper and thought most fans did at the start of every half they’re in front of me (except for a RS keeper of course).

Still happens in Rugby Union

Lads it was a boring 0-0 with the eyes of every other football fan on Real Madrid PSG. There’s nothing FC big stand hate more than being out of the limelight though so cue a whole load of complete nonsense stories like this one from RS media outlets. Last time I checked keepers get applauded every game at the start of the half and legendary players tend to be applauded if they’re retiring.
