You can't buy being an Evertonian. You are trying to latch onto our team just because yours isn't good enough. You're a typical kopite.

I didnt even know Tranmere was an actual football team till I was like 12 mate, by then I was already a ST holder at Everton.

/shrugs

Cant believe I cried in 85 when we lost the cup final, for no reason, im not even an Everton fan, oh the shame.

Crying over a team you're trying to support doesn't make you a fan. Your identity and indeed cringey self obsessed clueless behaviour make you a well suited Tranmere fan.

Please leave Everton alone, you embarrass us.

You are right Friend.

Us wools should support our local team, are you going to support Wigan or Blackburn mate?

Don't understand why some people are getting so worked up about this. I personally wouldn't of clapped for him, but he was a hard working down to earth lad who always gave 100% while wearing the Everton shirt. Some thought he deserved an applause (either for the goal or not celebrating) so he got one. Done. Not a big deal.

haha now THAT's embarrassing. Having to stand up and clap a goal against you to blend in. What you'd do to watch a football match....

I learned the hard way, mini :(

Remember we were fighting relegation in '98 and Micky Madar scored the opening goal at Spurs?

I was sat among home fans and, having sat quietly up to then, couldn't contain myself and jumped up, a' hootin' an' a' hollerin' :celebrate:

When I came back to earth I was getting the evil eye from every bugger around me

One bloke cane over and threatened to "knife" me.

The stewards intervened.....and promptly "invited" me to leave the stadium

They marched me down to the front gate but when I got there I asked for their supervisor whom found me a seat in some kind of a boy's pen or sommat.

So I sat the second half among a bunch of kids and teenagers :hayee:

And when Spurs scored the equaliser in what ended up a 1-1 draw I stood up and applauded :pint2:

Anybody at the Everton V Chelsea game 1978. Duncan Mckenzie scored for the Chelsea and the whole Street End cheered in unison.
No harm in clapping in my opinion. Naismith tried his best for Everton, did a bit for ETIC, so why not appreciate him.

Remember this well, was in the St. end on the day,it was the whole stadium clapping as I remember, and why not? some of these players like Naismith,Mackenzie and big Dunc have given good service to the club and haven't asked for a move away so like you say why shouldn't we appreciate them,we're Everton it's what we do.
