Great whenever you win a trophy, think the first time you experience it is the best.1963 we won the league, got there
an hour earlier to be sure of getting in, pay at the gate then. Everton didn't let us down against Fulham, scored two early goals and won easy 4-1, Vernon got a hatrick, crowd was delirious, singing the songs with over half an hour to go,
match finished, more singing, chanting waiting patiently for the team to presented in the old main Stand, crowd just all in heaven, screaming each players name as they waved back, Tony Kay smoking a huge cigar, no-one wanted to go home,
most of us would have stayed all night, a great day, but maybe that was bettered when we won the FA cup against
Sheffield Wednesday in 1966 coming back from losing 2-0 to win 3-2. To be honest every time we won something was
special, just hope we can see some more, but we are stuck with Billy Liar. So doubt it.

1985, no matter how monumental it was, the game when we won the title (home v QPR) was for me, and Im sorry to say, a little anti climatic. Reason being, we so damn good that we knew we were going to win it about two months before the end of the season. LOL, but the run in was fantastic. We were riding a crest of a wave of confidence that was a joy to behold.

1987 was more unexpected. We were not playing football nearly as exciting as in 1985, yes to claw our way back from behind the RS (like they did to us the previous season), was fun. Away at Norwich was a blast.

Liverpool totally collapsed in 87. This was the team that did the double the previous year, and had gone through a long period of domestic and, at times, European domination for around a decade.

To see them collapse was both really unexpected and equally comical. The fact it was us that benefited from it was the icing on the cake

The game that made it certain that we were gonna win it in 85 for me was Spurs away in the April... won 2-1, Steven and Gray...think Roberts scored a beaut for them to make it edgy but the atmosphere in the away end was fantastic...heady days

For me it seemed like a dream at the time, and it seems pretty unreal now when I think back to the QPR game. I remember me and my mate looking at one another laughing and saying "We've won it. We've won the League". Don't remember sod all else though. Sadly the bad times came too quickly and were brutal for me, mainly because I believed we'd dominate for decades. I'm really glad to have experienced that great time of us winning the League twice, because unfortunately I don't see us winning it again in my lifetime :(

I remember when we won in 87, we were 9 points behind them with a game in hand in mid March, with only perhaps 10 games left. The RS collapse was epic. They just kept on getting beat while we kept on winning.

We finished 9 points ahead, in effect meaning we had made up 18 points on them over the run in.

The 'hand it over, hand it over, hand it over Liverpool' chants were music to my ears. Loved it. Little did I know at the time, not only would we not win it again, but not even come close. That was 28 years ago.

I was there at that game with my dad. We were in GSE stand. Fab day! AS for the '66 FA Cup, went to all the matches but not Wembley, was taken ill and could not get a ticket!. Even remember going down to Hereford!

Seen all the Championships from '63, sad that for many fans that looks to be out of sight for them to experience being the best in the league.
