Everything was agreed between club and player, between both clubs, bar the buy out fee which wasn't deemed a problem. As it happens it seems to have scuppered the deal entirely.

I can promise you it isn't guesswork, but anyone who knows anything about transfers or who has received genuine 'insider' info can tell you that very few things are certain in this business. It's not gospel and it never could be or people would be losing jobs and I certainly wouldn't be able to post anything on here.

If true that shows we are looking at pienaar/mirallas as our first choice wingers otherwise we wouldn't have been bothered about that clause. Any hopes of the likes of perisic etc. Are dashed then
