Christian Atsu

If Chelsea are being such funny fockers, we should loan him, let Besic snap his ankles in training and send him back to London in Jan.

Bit harsh on Atsu, I know, but it'd be worth it just to annoy Jose. God I hate Jose.

This points to a wider problem in the PL. The lad is 22, just like Romeu who they just loaned out for a year and how old is that mcechran who was supposed to be England's next big thing?

Chelsea, City, and to a degree arse, RS and utd cherry pick so many young players from other academies at age 16,17 and then won't play them when they are 19,20 due to pressure to win every match. Suddenly they're 22 and can't be played as they haven't got the experience so are farmed out year after year.

Worst thing a young player can do is go to a money club, but it is probably every young players dream. So many promising careers ruined due to this as in early and mid 20s they have to go elsewhere in cut price move and only have 5-8 years left. See Rodwell.

Lukaku has done exactly the right thing or else before he knew it he would be 23 and no further on in his career.

If you want to be a CL star you need to be owned by a club further down the pecking order and make your name so at 22 you are going for the sort of fee that means the buyers can't let you rot for 3 years before you are trusted.

Maybe the deal (if there is one) should have been done at the same time they were salivating over the fee we paid for Lukaku

A very good point you've raised there,it's a shame no one at the FA shares your opinion.

It will get worse if other clubs follow Citeh example and buy clubs abroad so they can stockpile young players, shift the very best to the mother team then let the rest trickle away. Chelsea use Vitesse Arnheim has somewhere to "hold" players but they don't own them (yet)

This is what FFP is supposed to try and stop but Chelsea are trying to get around it by buying other clubs. Hopefully UEFA wont let them.

Actually it is City whom are driving a bulldozer through this they own 5 clubs, I think. Chelsea do not own any as yet, just have a big influence over Arnhem. Whoever it is, it is not good.

I think abrovich bought Vitesse Arnheim.

No its owned by another Russian. Abromvich is, it seems, in the process of buying Real Mallorca they will not need a UEFA licence as they wont be playing in a UEFA competion (Champions or Europa league) it probably will provide Chelsea with player and FFP opportunities that currently don't exist

we don't get Atsu...oh well, play Mirallas, Barkley, Besic, McCarthy, Barry, Gibson, Pienaar and our new Barca loanie(?) instead...that ok Jose or do you wanna name our subs?
