Christian Atsu

Hope he gets to show some of his talent elsewhere. Not the right fit but you don't get goal and player of a major international tournament without being decent. Shame. Will be lols if he absolutely bosses it somewhere else.

Lots of players flatter to deceive at big tournaments. El Hadji Diouf was voted in the team of the tournament at the 02 World Cup.

Amokachi, also, despite his exploits at Elland Rd, which earned him, arguably, cult status here, was really a disappointment if we're being totally honest.

How Etoo Barkley Naismith and Mcgeady have all had time on the wing ahead of him this year is baffling. Talented lad but exactly the type of player who won't make it at Everton because of the ridiculous system we play. Subbing him on for 5 minute cameos when we're losing and the crowd are on his back for one bad touch then benching him for a month is also ridiculous management.

Every time he picked up the ball outside the box you could feel the crowd willing him to replicate that WC goal, but sadly it never happened.

Strange how things worked out for Atsu this season. Was clearly in good form after the ACN but barely had a look in, even when we were crying out for a decent wide player. In the end, Lennon came in and did the job you suspect Martinez was hoping Atsu would do when he signed.

Hard to see him getting near the Chelsea line up though.

Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is in talks with Bournemouth, according to Sky Sports News HQ sources.

Atsu, 23, who spent the last campaign on loan at Everton, is now close to agreeing another season-long loan with Eddie Howe's Premier League newcomers.

The Ghanaian moved to Stamford Bridge from Porto in September 2013, signing a five-year contract for a fee of around £3.5m, and was immediately loaned out to Vitesse Arnhem.

I think he'll flourish at Bournemouth if he's given game time; relative big-fish in a small pond and the chance for regular football.

Rightly or wrongly, the problem was that he was never provided such opportunities here for one reason or another.

His problem is his size, the second he's shoulder to shoulder with a defender he'll lose he ball.

I totally agree with this
