I'm lazy to look up any, but it's true that before he was signed by Ferencváros he was playing in Germany and Thorsten Fink (Hamburg's manager then) had a massive quarrel with him that ended in Fink squeezing Besic's throat.

I know that but it doesn't make him a bad person.
 
Hahaha at the besic argument. Lads he was 17 and maybe he was a bit of a nob back then, but as many 17 year olds are when they're on the brink of a relatively big team at such a young age. Unlike a lot of talents Besic left, not to go into obscurity like i'm absolutely positive Ravel Morrison will do.

By all accounts now he was loved by his last team, loved by his national team and is a hard working committed professional.

Ben Arfa is a 26-27 year old man, Ten years senior than Besic was when he acted out at the club he was at, and ben arfa is STILL causing repeated trouble (caused trouble at Marseille people are forgetting).

There is absolutely no evidence that Besic is anything but a top professional off the pitch or with his management and coaching team anymore.

Maybe, but you wonder what can make a manager so angry that he completely bursts out at a player like that. Fink is no saint, as a coach you simply cannot allow yourself such behaviour and he was an inexperienced manager back then, but he must've had some sort of disciplinary reason for this, even though we don't know what it is, because they didn't reveal it to the public.
 
by questionable character it doesn't mean you need to be a ravel Morrison type, Besic obviously has an aggressive streak in him, same way mcgeady has pulled strops in Russia and Alcaraz has spat at a fellow professional. This notion that Martinez only signs choir boys is false.

Makes me laugh this besic/fink incident and hearing that besic might be a bellend.

Show me a young kid who isnt a bellend at that age. I'd be more wary and concerned if they werent if im honest.
 
Atsu will probably wear the no. 19 shirt, that number is free and he wore the same at Vitesse.

And his goal at 2:04 in this video is... well, I hope he does a couple of those cheeky ones.
