Everton have targeted Porto forward Christian Atsu ahead of the summer transfer window.
David Moyes plans to approach Porto at the end of the season regarding a deal for the 21-year-old.
Atsu, who scored for Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations, is available for around £10m.
While Moyes is notorious for working on a tight budget, he is ready to splash out on the forward.
Porto have the player under contract until 2014 but discussions over a new contract have stalled - paving the way for Everton to pounce.

I meant a decent amount of time in advance mate, obviously when we actually go in for a player the news will break. The point is i can't remember many times we've bought a player after being linked with him weeks or months ahead.
