Chris Matheson MP being gagged by Elstone, EFC shareholders meeting moved to the Winslow pub

The simple fact of the matter is that one Saturday afternoon of protest where fans demand his removal is all that is needed to solve the problem too. Moshiri certainly ain't gonna hang around and let Elstone ruin the progress were making and risk a rift with the fans.

Don't agree with it, but can understand the club position.
This guy using parliamentary privilege accuses the Board of a conspiracy to mislead the PL, the auditors and possibly open to criminal charges under the Companies Acts, trots out the bit about Green ordering an audit for which there is no evidence.
If I was the club, I wouldn't welcome him.
Berate me if you wish, but this guy was out of order doing what he did.

I get all that. But why are the club acting in a manner like they are trying to hide something. If it's not true then speak out and provide evidence. Don't get tetchy and arouse suspicion

Correct me if I'm wrong - but is the assumption here that Everton have banned a fan, a season-ticket holder from the stadium because he dared to query/investigate football governance?

Perhaps there's more to it than we know?
Perhaps it's time for the fans to show no confidence in him at the matches.

Either he has something to hide, with the club, or he's just incompetently made it look as though the club has something to hide. Either way he's letting the club down.

The evidence lodged with PL about ownership of shares and the directors of the club not enough?
To be honest, all the rebuttal of the watched toffee stance (which this is to all intents and purposes) has been done to death.
Bear in mind, this MP asked Greg Davies and no-one involved in his alleged scenario, so I have little sympathy.

The most worrying aspect of this, for me anyway, is that one must assume there is indeed a fire giving off this smoke.

It seems to me Green is indeed involved in Everton financially and that if so, it will be biting us in the ass some of these days.
Or it may just be another example of Elstone being the arsey snothead that he undoubtedly is. Both Matheson and the shareholder association have had the audacity to question Everton's and Elstone's financial integrity in the past, and he hasn't taken it lightly. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just him flexing his muscles and getting his own back.

The problem is, whatever the reason for these actions, the natural reaction from fans is that the club have something to hide. It just dredges up an inauspicious period in our history that most fans thought was behind us and are quite willing to forget.

I agree and disagree. Agreed that it's understandable the club are not rolling the red carpet out to Matheson; but disagree that it was wrong of him to do what he did (which I think you're implying). Some club's have operated in the shadows and using parliamentary privilege in the past has led to a club becoming more open about it's affairs. Nothing wrong with more openness.

Which clubs operate more openly due to statements made under parliamentary privilege?
