I think he'd be better suited to that role in a 3 than Bernard mate, more in terms of where I think we can use Bernard to get the best out of him.

I don't want to see Bernard getting crowded out in a midfield three. I'd rather him be on the flanks or behind the striker with a bit of space - at least in the first few months.

We'll see anyway, up to Marco and at least if players want in, they have to be at their best, now.

Which is absolutely fine by me.

Just with Silva playing 4-3-3 and seemingly standing by that as well, then it probably isn't a case of (just yet) a straight shoot-out between Gylfi and our little goblin-like playmaker just yet.

Probably depends on the opposition, as well.

Richarlison, Bernard, Walcott - that's some pace on the counter.

Can't argue with that bruv.

While it's good, it also highlights how short we are in some areas. One injury to Pickford and we're in big trouble, same for Tosun unless Richarlison can slot in there.

You have to be expecting all of Richarlison, Bernard, Sigurdsson (new penalty taker in place of Baines?) and Walcott to be contributing 7-10 goals each this season, and 15 odd from Tosun.

If we can get 5-6 goals from the centre backs in total we should be looking decent.

I reckon Bernard will get smashed in the prem league. Im genuinely excited for the season to start. Im sure itll all come crashing down but right now Im optimistic. The whole of the window went well and we actually looked like a professional outfit!

We don't really have a no 10 so we play without. Runs and work rate will be key. In the center of the park Gylfi dictates what happens and Gana gives energy and overloading potential.

Can you imagine playing a tight away game and having a flexible 4-5-1 that becomes a 4-3-3 when breaking with the ball, and a front 3 of Bernard, Richarlison and Walcott pace ffs, actual pace lol

To think we started last season with literally zero pace at all in most games, talk about a turn around.

His job is to provide legs, scoring is secondary. I don't think we have a hole player to support poachers like Cenk, but we'll wait and see.

What we do have is wide players who can feed a clinical striker like Tosun tho, Niasse is not somebody I would call clinical.

Not that i want us to play this team, but possibility to play 3 at the back now we have mixture of pace and height aswel as pace on full backs
