Italy, Iran...(plus The US and many others) all sent big teams to the October 2019 Military Games in Wuhan, both Italy and Iran were in the forefront of reporting massive sickness numbers early 2020.
The blame lies in Wuhan, the actual cause, Conspiracy, Coque - Up, wild meat markets or whatever is debateable.
Probably only the Chinese will ever know for sure.
But they deffo don't like being told its their fault.
Just sayin like

What happens at the Military games ? Is it like the Olympic Games but instead each countries soldiers compete to see who can commit the most war crimes ? I guess America dominates just like the Olympics.

Being serious, genuinely never heard of it.

Governments love a bit of propaganda against the enemy.
Propaganda works, just ask all the people that still think Saddam was a threat to the world in a way so many other non-oil rich leaders weren't before and since.

Propaganda is a powerful but dangerous tool.

The present level of saber-rattling by China is starting to get dangerous. It says to me that the folks on top over there think they're seated somewhat precariously on their throne, and that they'd rather risk a war with the United States than risk being unseated. It says to me that they think they can win.

That's not happening in blue water, and I don't think they're getting across the Taiwan strait unless we're really stupid about it, but there is a decent chance that they can win a land war in their house. I could spitball some near-future sci-fi about how they do that, though the good story that I have rattling around inside my head relates to an actual invasion. I had not thought about that one in a bit. It seems more feasible than it did several years ago, when it started kicking around my head.

Apparently just like the Olympics but military folk only taking part…..

Just gotta hope the people in charge of both countries see how bloody and unwinnable any war between the major powers would be and that no one wins if they resort to nukes.

It's not going to get anywhere near a conflict between each nation any time soon, let nuclear war. Yes there's sabre rattling, but it's posturing.

They each know the potential cost they would face from any conflict both in terms of their respective economic and their long-term ambitions.

In terms of military, China is still way behind the US and relies too heavily on their markets. The real wars will be proxy wars involving business and governments.

Taiwan and the South China sea are the issues. If CHina invades Taiwan, as they keep threatening, would the US, who are militarily involved with Taiwan step in? If they did would CHina and Vietnam/Philippines whoever, that have south China sea claims, also step up? One false move and it all could go very wrong very quickly.Japan and Taiwan have both been openly threatened by China and I imagine they would be happy to pool resources with the US.

tbh, neither had I, but it's a thing, been going a good few years, all the usual track and field stuff, with loads of added macho probably.
I haven't been able to find out where the US team flew out from, or returned to, but knowing the green machine they will have flown from the nearest part of the continental USA to China, which is probably the N. Western states.

*puts on tinfoil hat and fades in twilight zone music.
Coincidently wasn't January 2020 in Seattle that the first US cases appeared?

If the world was a fair place, China would be compelled by every other nation on earth to pay dearly for what they've done.
Might make right...and nobody has the bottle to stand up to their hardnosed (bullying) stance...on a lot of things, not just Covid.
But one day, somewhere, on some topic, somebody, hopefully should (will?) - if it can be done without blowing up the Planet that is
Which is the problem and what they bank on, pushing it here and there on 'small' things.
It's not a new concept and well quoted but they do like to play a Long Game

Exactly. Saddam and Gaddafi were only a threat to the United States control over the world oil. Plain and simple.
