I have to tell you i have a new found respect for it. And families that go through it.

TBH i always though it was just somthing that all kids got. They get a few spots and are itchy as hell. How wrong was i. My little Angel came out in spots 2 days ago an since then it's been a living hell. She's in so much pain it's unreal, an typically. She has it severely. It's like a blanket all over her. We had to take her the hospital late last night as she was uncontrollable.

We've done everything that we know.....

All teh lotions an potions. All teh Paracetamol am Nurofen. But nothing has really worked. We had to cancel our family 4 day break this weekend as well. So im gutted for her. She was looking forward to it so much.

Thing is iv been up all night scowering the internet for any solutions and came across a thing called POXCLIN.

www.poxclin.com

Iv never heard of it before but has some great reviews. has anyone used it or any different ideas i can use....

Thanx as always fam!!!

Sorry to hear that Sharpy. Hope the little one's feeling ok.

No idea about solutions, like...

Hope she gets better bud

Can't say I know about the product.. Worth a shot though, if the reviews are good..

Does the little one have any known allergies? If so, I would read the ingredients real well, obviously..

No, no allergies. Also forgot to say how much her temp has been going up and down. Was at 38.8 last night, an was very feverish. Because she's 4 she understands whats gonig on an it's heart breaking that every 20 seconds she's crying sayin..

"Da da, my back's hurting" or " Da da my tummy's really hurting me"

Feel helpless as fook.....

yea mate, that's a horrible feeling.. The helplessness bit.

Good read here.. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001592.htm

In most cases, it is enough to keep children comfortable while their own bodies fight the illness. Oatmeal baths in lukewarm water provide a crusty, comforting coating on the skin. An oral antihistamine can help to ease the itching, as can topical lotions. Trim the fingernails short to reduce secondary infections and scarring.

Thats awful mate, I remember having Chicken Pox and it was nowhere near what you're going through.

Hoping she's getting better here from all of us mate.

Horrendous !!!

Still fukn Scarred ....

NOT fukn NICE , Lid ..

Best to the Little One ..

Something called acetaminophen that can apparently help, but I think it's prescription only. I think it helps with the other symptoms (aches and pains) rather than the itchy blisters.

My sister's a nurse and her 2 little ones just had it. All she could do was try them with over the counter antihistamines and smother them in Calamine lotion. The antihists helped with one - she reckons - but not the other. Dunno if you've tried that yet or not....

Nasty stuff though, hope they hurry up and get better. Also hope you don't get the 'adult version' Shingles. Which is utterly horrific.

Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in Paracetamol (or Tylenol over here)

I hope she recovers soon mate. :)

It's horrid when your loved ones are in distress and there's not a lot you can do.

I've got twins and back when they where kids one of them got it,itched like hell the other one was fine so once it eased off we thought he must have been lucky and avoided it cutting a long story short the day he went back to school the other one came down with and he seemed far worse a horrible time for them.
