It's all set up for yet another heroic defeat, starring John Terry. We all know it, don't let the hope bring you down.
Has a sneaky fiver on a 2-1 win for Ronnies boys.

Still annoys me that Besic is crowd surfing last season and we go throw it away.

That picture of him and the fans could have become iconic

Watched their 4-0 win against United, and 2-0 win over Southampton. Both games they sat back, had about 45% of the possession and hit them on the break.

So they're going to have change their style a bit and come much further out the blocks. Should be space for us to exploit.

We'll get a result here.

Fancy us to get something here, more out of hope, because of how unforgettable that 2nd half at Stamford Bridge was last year, than expectation obviously.

Which probably means Chelsea 1-0 Everton, John Terry 100th minute offside winner

Really? We specialise in heartbreak, but in a pretty meaningless league game where we snatched a draw from the jaws of victory, Really? In a season where the RS made us look like mugs, losing an FA Cup semi final to the Mancs in injury time. And that was just last season. And that Chelsea game is the worst you've felt. Wow.

Rest were inevitable. Hope still
Existed in that game.

You can go on a run of 7-8 games without a win, but not to take 3 points, in whatever circumstances, at a ground where you play year-in, year-out, since 1994, is an utter disgrace. This typifies the horrifically abysmal "Everton, that" in-bred mediocrity which still threatens to massively engulf everything positive we do.

The law of averages says we'll win there eventually and I know the current crop can't be held responsible for the bulk of that run. However, I hope this horror run at the Sky 4 is not lost on the players individually and collectively. They should all be thinking "**** this, we'll do them" I can take getting beat if we have a go, but if we earn a heroic draw, then so what? What, if anything does that change? Nothing. We can play to win and still be sensible at the back, its not gung-ho, just a collective determination to get a win.

The biggest issue for us is lack of visible leadership on the pitch and players who come from a culture of winning. Hopefully RK addresses that window by window.

if koeman can pull off against chelsea what he did with southampton v spurs away from home last season when spurs were going for the title at the time then i reckon we've got a world class manager on our hands here.

hope he can do it

They're on a run of 4 wins on the bounce in the league, and haven't conceded a single goal in those games. The switch to 3-4-3 seems to be doing them wonders.

Without Gana this will be tough as we don't have anyone remotely as effective to fill in. Barry could be in for a rough ride against Kante and Matic without his wing man!

Ruud Gullit pointed out on MOTD2 in the analysis of Southampton vs Chelsea that they sit very narrow, leaving huge swathes of space open down the wings. Having two wide men hug the touchline and then switching the play to them quickly could pay dividends. So Ross spraying balls to Bolasie & Co please Everton.

1-0 Everton with Lukaku to score against his old club. Bolasie assist.

This will be a tough one. Likely Cleverley will replace Gana with Davies perhaps on for the last 20 mins. I would think we might sneak a 1-0 lead just into the second half (Bolasie)only to have them pull it back to 1-1 with a few mins on the clock.
Away to Chelsea should be enough to get the boys in Blue going

Has Rom ever put in a decent performance against his old employers ? Jose had him sussed Tactically, lets hope Conte hasn't watched too many prem games and the beast is unleashed.
