I still don’t think the squad is as bad as it’s showing.

The mix is wrong. We need pace and power. The chemistry isn't right. Finding the right players to form a functioning team is paramount this off season.

I don't. I think we've got some bad players, a couple of very good ones and a more than a few pretty average ones.

I hoped appointing arguably one of the best managers around, making him one of the top 5 best paid managers in Europe, would have yielded better than a bottom half finish with the players we have.

We're behind Palace and Burnley. We've been unconvincing in the wins we have got.

The dearth of real talent coming up from the youth is part of our problem, setting aside the awful signings. Davies would not hold down a place in the Bolton team. Great emphasis is placed on bad recruitment and rightly so, but the lack of youth talent makes you wonder what the great Unsworth has been doing.
