By my reckoning they should have been binned at the end of 2013/14 season.

We've retained the pair of them for 4 years longer than we should have if we meant business.

Agree, and if not binned at the very least eased out by new players. I guess that was what Stones was, but we then went and kept Jags and brought in Ashley Williams. Jags and Distin looked tired but an either older Jags combined with a busted Williams is car crash football.

This is the worst back 4 I have seen at Everton and that includes the woeful 97 defence.
