It's League Cup, a competition to give a chance to the kids and squad players against a weakened opponent, I'd go for this:

This will give opportunity for them to shine and claim their place in the first team, to give good options for more important competitions.

It’s infuriating that someone paid for then rights in the states the proceeds to not show games on tv or even online. Really hope one of the big online boys(Facebook etc) grab rights to both cups next season as a tester for buying the league.

He shouldn't he seemed to be important in the way Koeman set up his team, but I hope Unsworths team have more flair so I'd rather see the few pacer player we have play.

He is probably the fastest player at the club

I think its important to remember that our problems will not have magically disappeared. We have a team that can't play together, it is going to take time to sort this out. Do we have time because we are in the crap right now.

For the first time in a long time I am actually excited and looking forward to watching us play. I think we will turn them over. Wonder if unsworth will start lookman and kenny??

...nice though it would be to win, Chelsea are better than us. If we get through, we’ll have to ride our luck and maybe win on penalties. Hoping we get ‘new manager momentum’ but I want to see improvement before getting my hopes up.
