Calmed down a bit now. Overriding thing for me is that we're close to being a very good side. Lost only one game away from home this season which is good. But if being super critical we've thrown so many points away. Issue is that we're not really winning at home. Said it before, but we've only beaten Villa, Sunderland and Chelsea. Not good enough at Goodison this season. Only a run of wins on the bounce (4 or 5) will restore my belief for this season (league wise). Longer term I'm still reasonably optimistic if we can add strength in defensive areas.

Offsides are human error but bad timekeeping of that type can be nothing but cheating.

The argument is that it really shouldn't be. Video tech can be used to prevent offside goals counting in literally 2/3 seconds.

Also, there's human error, then there's plainly not been up to the task of making such an easy call. He was a good yard offside.

I'm arguing that we're playing some wonderful attacking football and that you 'wanting Martinez to change it' isn't going to happen, as he already has in his own way.

We were solid against Spurs for the main part, and same against City in both games. Two minutes of madness and bad luck today changed that, and then a terrible piece of officiating.

That's my argument.

So back to my point, if he doesn't change it, he can jog on. It might be entertaining, but it is infuriating, unprofessional and we'll never achieve anything shipping goals and being so naive.

I should be smashing plates, going ballistic, should be absolutely fuming. But I'm not. I'm pretty calm, don't really feel any kind of anger really. Feel fine.

Either I am a [Poor language removed] fan or I already knew that Chelsea would score in the last second. After quite a few last minute cock ups, you lose the ability to be shocked anymore. The unexpected has become the expected.

But I am sure that will change when my kopite mates wind me up in the pub.

Its the plodding inevitability of it all. Non-Evertonians and the media are fascinated, like its the first time its happened. But its becoming normality to us now. It shouldn't be acceptable but somehow it is?!! I don't know how either.

Trying to decide if this roller coaster football we play is better than a park the bus hope for a draw but still then usually concede late on, that we used to do away at Chelsea, United and pretty much everyone. So on balance being so gutted to get a draw rather than celebrate wildly at hanging on for a point is something I if not my heart can live with. Glad Martinez gave it both barrels in his interview he and the team didn't deserve that.

He has changed it though is what I'm saying. The last few games we've defended brilliantly. Today, we made a mistake and they took advantage for their opener - fair enough, but that's a player's mistake, not the manager.

Then their second was a deflection (they happened a lot under Moyes didn't they???) then their third is offside and a minute after the allotted added time.

I'm very skeptical. I don't think anything much has changed. We'll see in 6,7,8 games time. Hopefully you're right, because defending is our achilles heel, but I strongly doubt it.
