Oh absolutely, no surprise that after the first two albums Suede went downhill, in my opinion.

I wasn't mocking you by the way. :)

No I know you wasnt mocking,;) its just that i took a bit of stick for liking suede, so i sorta semi expect it.

Not many hendrix fans appreciate other guitarists, of the hendrix fans i know, you'd think no other guitarists existed.
I was just limbering up for a bit of banter!

and I agree, after butler left suede were a piss poor pop band.

Well Hendrix in my eyes is a legend. If only for Villanova Junction. But I'm currently listening to Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni, sung by Andrea Boccelli. I appreciate all music, apart from X-Factor [Poor language removed].

Last night I was listening to Jefferson Airplane, Fairport Convention and then Led Zeppelin. I also have Lush (Split) lined up to play on my new record player. So I wouldn't stand for any [Poor language removed] about my music tastes, I sample from the whole sweet shop instead of sticking to one kind which may turn stale and bland.

As for Suede, Animal Nitrate blew me away, and then Asphalt World was just pure poetry.

entirely? :)

Hendrix was a genius because of his music. Noel is a genius because of his timing and developing music to a wider audience. He's just a Pop guitarist. Sorry mate.

dog man star, is a really underrated album. still life is class!

I'm more into pop/rock/country and singer songwriters myself than out and out rock.

Ive been listening to roddy frame, alison krauss, cash, and wannadies recently.

Well mate your so lucky. Because you get to experience the feeling of discovering so many better musicians. I wish I could do that again, the enlightenment was amazing.

Well, 2 of my favourite bands are The Jam and The Stone Roses. I was 5 when the Roses split up and obviously was never around for The Jam.

Also, I listen to stuff like The Who, The Beatles, E.L.O. and the Stones occasionally. So I do enjoy a lot of older music.

If you want some great guitar and don't mind a bit of heavy metal, try Iron Maiden. Phantom of The Opera is some great guitar.

One thing I learnt in school, is that the most unfashionable bands were actually the coolest. Everyone in my year were into Def Leopard whilst I started listening to the Doors, Hendrix etc...

Pink Floyd also, very good stuff.

There have been loads of great guitarists. It all just depends on what sounds good to your ears.

Personally, i think Captain Sensible was really good, as was Stevie Ray Vaughan.
