Where are the army of Scotland fans on here telling us how he plays? They chime up for everything else
For me as has been said above, no idea where the notion has come from that he holds up the ball well or wins headers. That's not his strength (if he has any).
If Scotland need someone to lead the line, hold the ball in and win headers (similar to DCL) we start with Lyndon Dykes. Dykes while not Everton or even PL standard is great at doing it for Scotland.
When Clarke needs someone up front to run around, press and be a general nuisance he starts Adams. Everyone wishes he would contribute more goals but he doesn't. 5 Goals in 23 games in what is a decent Scotland team. Scotland similar to Everton have had a dearth of striking options for a long time and the goals mostly come from midfield (McGinn, McTominay and McGregor) if there were other options he'd have played less or not at all.
Not for me, I am afraid. IF we are spending money I'd rather gamble on a younger foreign import.
Adams maybe has more endeavour than Maupay and may just get more luck than Maupay at Everton. (who you just feel is never going to score again)
There must be other options out there.
