Chasing Europe - Everton vs. History

I am terrified of the derby this year, never ever ever watch it.

This year actually terrified.

We need to end this psychological hold they seem to have over us. It goes back a long time but it's a bit pathetic on our part. We need to finish above them again this year, if they overtake us in the last 3 games then our season (which promised so much) is a complete failure as far as i'm concerned.

We took 4 points from those 8 games last year for a bit of perspective (swapping West Ham for Bolton, posted about it in another thread). Surely we should have a better return than that this year but 16 may be a push

The interesting (depressing?) thing to me is that I don't feel any more or less optimistic about our chances at Spurs, Arse, etc... than I do against the weaker opponents. Sunderland's got the new boss, so that might be a thing, and QPR's fighting for their lives, so who knows what might happen. West Ham...well, it would just be against the rules for Everton to take 6 points from a team in one year, and since we already did them once...I smell a draw.

Nope, because that would require seeing the futures.

I'm doing a stats module in my Uni course.

Next time I want to see some Standard Deviation, Box plots and maybe even some Interquartile ranges *drool*
