2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

The fear this inspires in me when we have possession in their half. Someone above wrote sloppy about his ball use, I find it willfully dangerous to the point of blase. A walking coronary event. Absent minded doesn't do him justice, it sometimes feels on purpose.

What do you see in his allround game ?

From day one I was surprised by how careless he can be in possession. His best attribute is the energy he can bring but that aside I don't think there's much there.

He doesn't have an all round game. And that is now dawning on a few that've questioned why KDH has been shunted forward instead, even though it has left us under manned further back and thus countered much to easily.

Alcaraz can be a nuisance when he is involved in quick forwards interplay when the opposition is scrabbling. He seems to have that spark of imagination. When asked to do the boring repetitive stuff he seems at least to me to switch off.

More an icing on the cake than the actual sponge and jam filling that is the main event. Such players previous were considered luxury. We're to full of holes for such fripperies. What's nuts is we had James who could do the basics with so much flair that he stood out a mile, a passing range like he was tiger woods on a football pitch sized green with his favourite putter. Mobility and physicality/athleticism what did for James (that and a serious problem attitude shipped in as boss). We've had almost 12 months of Alcaraz now, we've seen his best when introduced as a sub, fresh legs vs tired, a new runner to pick up and gaps to attack. We've also seen some temper flashes when decisions go against and he gets a kick.
Hot headed and often indisciplined with the basics. Reason Moyes has underused him.

Oh right, apologies, i must of read your post wrong..

Annoying? It’s damaging us.

As is his inability to know where to position himself off the ball or press effectively.

He looks like a squad player, I’ve never seen the fuss at all I’m afraid.
Someone has to create chances to score!

Grealish isn’t doing it anymore. Ndiaye is gone. KDH doesn’t do it as a #10. McNeil.

The pressing stuff is nonsense also fwiw.

We literally can’t score goals guys this is not a luxury we need anyone providing danger to play. Forest score twice tomorrow and we’re second bottom for goals scored. Those teams go down more often than anything resembling a high finish.
