I bet some of Bournemouth and Brighton's squad are on £20k a week. We need to get away from overpaying moderate players.
Both are big multi club operations mate.
What's going on at both isn't an accident.

I say this all the time but it remains true. If your manager needs to play people 5 or 6 games in a row to 'know how good they are' then something has gone seriously wrong. They get to see them in training, can watch pretty much every game they've ever played in their career, have access to all kinds of data about their fitness and performance etc. Giving Chermiti a few games would be nice so that we can see what he can do. If Moyes doesn't already have a very good idea of that and might have his mind changed by a good 90 minutes then we probably need to rethink paying him £5m a year.
In their latest accounts Brighton were reported to have a wage bill of £147m and Bournemouth £137m. I think ours is somewhere in the 150s from memory.I would love to see their wage bills tbh and compare them to ours

If true that's not a great difference the only other difference is in the quality of the teams mentioned compared to ours unfortunately![]()

Im not sure i agree with all of this. Players can look fine in training. I imagine Harrison pings cross after cross in training, in the same way, the likes of Dacoure has the first touch of Zidane, and beto finishes like Messi. Matters not one jot if they cant do it in a real match.I say this all the time but it remains true. Like I said, it's not just training (although I don't believe what you're saying is true anyway). The fact is, players don't get to audition for more game time. Should we give Reece Welch and Luke Butterfield the last few games to see whether it turns out we've actually got a couple of stars on our hands, or do we assume that the people working with them every day are capable of deciding whether or not they have what it takes? The same thing applies really, at some point we have to trust the judgement of the people we're paying huge amounts of money to make these decisions. I'm not saying they're infallible by any means, but expecting them to just give everyone a run of games in case it turns out they've misjudged them is unrealistic.Im not sure i agree with all of this. Surely those numbers will reduce now that we are getting all those high earners off our wage bill?According to this site (player salaries only)

We have to put up with Zats laughing reaction to every post that doesn’t declare him Maradonna reincarnated. Is there one negative to signing him. I cant think of one.

….maybe they have somebody lined up they feel is superior.
Not sure Encisco was inferior on Saturday, he’s another loanee having cost Brighton just £9m.
