I dunno, yeah they have cheated. But cheating is rife. Time wasting, diving, fouling, tapping up. Surely if they are to expel them from the playoffs they have to demonstrate that a kid with binoculars behind a tree gave them sufficient advantage to win the match. How is it even measurable? I dunno, they've done it 3 times that we're aware of, maybe there's more to come? I think it's harsh. Also completely messed up the plans for all supporters of all teams involved. Crazy situation

It's the referees job to enforce the rules and hand out punishments on the pitch

There are no referees following teams around training grounds to make sure they follow the rules during the week

Have to congratulate the authorities on this one. They made a rule, made sure everybody was aware that a line had been drawn and punished Southampton as they were found to have broken said rule. Now all they need to do is enforce the on-field rules they lay down in a similar fashion. Hate cheats and cheating with a passion.

I honestly can’t imagine a world where their expulsion is overturned.

It’d be insane to change the line-up for the final twice in the week running up to it.

I don’t think the EFL would ever be taken seriously again.

Those 4 points deducted next season seem to only be there as a sacrificial punishment they can give them back at appeal.
