Yeah, kind of shows why mangers should sack this whole attackers have to track back rubbish. How many goals has lukaku cost united by trying to defend for example.

..I don’t mind them getting behind the ball when the opposition has it but they have to be disciplined and not give away daft free kicks.

The lad has taken his goals very well, still does some poor things when in possession but his all around game could improve with time.

A hasty response on my behalf, I respect your posts. I’m trying to separate over reaction to sensibility. Apart from Lukaku we’ve had nobody who contributes a consistent goal scoring threat. We’ve had plenty who go through little spats however, and in the majority of those cases people have got carried away.

All I’m saying is that it’s more than conceivable to wait till he has good number of games under his belt before determining if we have a good striker on our hands. His second half performance, in particular, was the first time I’ve actually thought “oh, he looks a handful”
