Bit strange to specifically mention registering him for the cup in time for Liverpool if he had no intention of him playing the match isn't it mate?

BFS also already talked about making sure he was physically ready for the game. As he's already had his medical, maybe they decided that wasn't the case, so no point rushing through the negotiations.

Here is the thing mate.

Who do we go for?

A proven premier league striker - there isn't many around, and when the likes of a 31 year old Giroud would cost 30+m for maybe 1-2 good seasons, or a Vardy would cost 40m now for the same number of years.

Or you try grab a young striker who you 'think' may be ready to break through - say a Iheanacho - who kinda has flopped massively so far, and you'll be paying 20-30m for the likes of him or Dembele say from Celtic

or you buy cheap as you can for someone who has only just broken through abroad - like say a Janssen or a Sandro 0 hmm they kinda didn't work out either.

You try target the likes of a top proven in a top league striker - the likes of Aubamayang, and they'd cost you 60m easy, and 200k pw minimum wages, and thats even if they'd bother picking up the phone without you being a CL poster boy team.

So you are left trying to get the right type of striker at the right type of price, 19-23m for a striker who by all accounts has a good all round game, and who has shown at a higher level (CL that he can score against some pretty good sides).

Yeah we are paying him a decent wedge, but for example how much is Iheanacho on at Leicester, how much is Hernandez on at West Ham, how much is Benteke on at Palace etc etc

^^ This, this and this again... ^^

£ is a £. Invest it poorly, it will catch up with you.

I think under Moshiri/Walsh, our transfer business has been the worst in the league.

I admit it doesn't look too good so far! But dunno about worst in the league, and certainly for all their faults, Moshiri and Bill are far and away from the chairmen of the other clubs that have been mentioned.

read the last 3 pages and still none the wiser because all the posts are damn near off topic.

Now has he signed? Has it been registered with FA before midday?

No, maybe by 5.

Definitely no.

Tugay was brilliant. Remember him running a game at Goodison when he was about 37.

Anyway, CENK WHEN?

Not Tosun I fear....

I'll get my coat, hat, scarf etc etc...

Sam said yesterday it was more important to get him rather than have him for tonight. We were probably being held to ransom and had to let the time pass

I reckon he would have only got 20mins or so tonight anyway. Needs time to train and fit into our “way of play”

Cebk signed the deal with everton 90k for week plus 20k bonus. İ think everton will anounce tomorrow. He is ready and fit, can play at Old Trafford. The amount is 22 milyon euros plus 5 million bonus. 10 million will be paid first. And 12 million is spread in two years, 6 will be paid each. Besiktas will take %7 if Everton sells him to another club.

We have turned for a very well run club who always turn over profit on their players and punch above their weight financially, to a joke who now have more money than sense and waste it all on unknowns and gambles - which cannot carry on, its not sustainable I genuinely wonder how Moshiri got his billions because he looks and sounds clueless.

From his affiliation with Jim White to his linking Bill Kenwright in the stands, even when he claps his hands don’t touch. Something is off I tell ye.

Heitenga 6m - released on a free
Billyletidinov - 9m - sold two years later for 5.5m
Yakuba - 13m - sold for 1m four years later
Van der Meyde - 6-7m - released on a free 3 years later
Kroldrup 5,5m - sold same season for about 3m

Not exactly true really mate

We arent playing at Old Trafford mate, so that's classic Everton, registering him for a game we aren't playing.

Sorry but lol lol

Pickford - Excellent signing
Rooney - Excellent signing
Siggy - Soooo much better than this forum would have people believe (this is the forum that preferred Barry to Osman don't forget). Will only get better.
Bolasie - Our best player against United and always a threat, was looking v good before injury.

Right I'm bored listing all the players but the only out and out flop is probably Klaassen and even he's too early to say.

Lookman, Vlasic, DCL, Gueye have all looked like they're worth more than the money we bought them for.

Schneiderlin might be allowed to be put in to the flop category....maybe.

Even if we look at prices it's not as bad as some making out
Siggy not much more than the Ox
Keane less than Lindelof
Bolasie £5m more than Markovic

We've also been very unlucky with injuries.

The bedwetting on here is painfully cringey.

Are we really going to name 5 players over a 12 year period? We made 5 mistakes last window ffs

Have you ever tried negotiating with Turkish people?
I was in a shop in Bodrum for about 3 hours negotiating a fee for for 3 t-shirts

Ditto in Marmaris and Alanya.

Went into a footy shirt shop in Marmaris in 2009 and asked if they had an Everton shirt, guy goes off and comes back with an Arsenal shirt and says " no Everton brother, will this do" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS

Bet that shop will have a stack of them this summer.
