hmm, i never understand how this stuff happens. I mean if they're all sat in a room, they don't leave the room until all parties are happy and the deal is agreed, surely?

I mean we don't walk in there and print out loads of sheets saying 90k a week, sign there if you're happy. And then his representatives aren't happy, so our reps have to walk out the room and ring moshiri and say "are you ok to raise it to £100k?".

Then they go back to the printer room, print out all the sheets again and repeat the same process.

Surely our reps are given a maximum figure to work towards and just sit down with a players reps and do a back and forth of figures, before everyone's happy? If they want to go over the maximum, we say no and offer them a final take it or leave it offer?

Notice Joyce is specifically quoting Turkish media. Has his relationship with Everton hit a snag?

What's the odds on Jim White being the first journalist to make the announcement.

Not saying £125kpw is incorrect, but why would Turkish journalists have inside knowledge of our club dealings. Besiktas wouldn't have been party to the salary negotiations.

is anyone else worried about the amount and length of this deal??

£125k a week ....... for FOUR AND HALF YEARS.

the bloke might be another sandro, cant even stand up, let alone score goals.

if he is a total bust, then we are saddled with some sort of wages.

for someone who has score in the prem before, and has done well at another prem club, that's no so much of a gamble, but on someone who has never kicked a ball in the prem it seems way off.
