I love how Everton do thier best to win the derby.

Imagine the other way around they'd have him signed and doing multiple interviews about how he revels playing in derbies etc. BT would have a half hour piece on him in the build up, exploring how he can take advantage of our defensive frailties. And low and behold they'd manifest it into reality.

I am actually quite relieved that he wont be playing tonight even if it was just from the bench tbh. It would have been Everton through and through for him to play for 20 minutes and get injured and be out for the rest of the season, especially in a Derby. Would have been completely nuts to play him against the reds before even getting a chance for him to settle in and meet and train with his new team mates and manager etc. We have waited this long for a decent striker so lets not Everton it up.

He also stressed that he hasn't had any training. I watched the press conference (because I'm sad like that) and he didn't seem very optimistic about it.

I think if he had of played today the lad would be on a hiding to nowhere. Imagine if vvd marked him out of the game. Then all the kopites would be laughing at us and the pundits would be giving tosun crap. Bad way to start off your everton career.
