I've no doubt he'll score goals in a team that creates a lot of chances. However our chronic lack of creativity is just as much a problem as our lack of a goalscorer and hopefully that will be addressed next, with a passing midfielder and an attacking left back.

Think we need more than that Timak but yes they have to be priority signings just to give us a bit of creativity and balance.

I'm not sure how anyone would know how bad Klaassen is considering he's spent about 190 minutes playing in the EPL at this point.

LATEST:

Nothing different from what was reported last night. It is official now, all over the news in Turkey. 27M in Euros incl. bonuses. He is going through medical and signing today.

I wish the best for Cenk and EFC. And congratulations, you have 20 million new fans!
And I personally have enjoyed the insight you Turkish lads have given us the last week or so on Cenk, apart from the embarassing my club is better than your club spats that broke out now and again it's all been good.

Hope he doesn't sign, I don't want any signiture's just want us to get over the line by the end of the season then sack the useless negative dinosaur.

£27m on a 26 year old, playing on a dominant, ultra-attacking team in a poor quality retirement league.

What could possibly go wrong?

I am afraid this is how I see it. You just know that none of the top 6 would even give this guy an eyebrow.

We have spunked 100mil, that could have been used to buy great players on absolute dross.

So close to making the step up and yet have gone backwards.

Got to give it to him, Steve Walsh knows how to waste money that isn't his !

I hope the lad is quality but this transfer just seems to be us repeating the mistakes of all the other transfer windows. Decent amounts of money being wasted on average players who aren't improving us.
Wrong side of the bed this morning gents?

The lad can slot, get behind him and give him a chance to settle in.

Anyway, finally got round to giving the boy a going over and sadly I must say, hes not the answer. He will get bullied in this league, hes quite skillful and has decent pace but strength wise its not great.

Its not totally bad, hes decent on the ball and he would play well up top in a 2, but as for a number 9 leading the line, well we see.

The 1 thing I will say is he will score goals, so its not a waste of dough, its just hes unlikely to be the monster up top I wanted.

70/30 chance of success.

From the three group games I have seen I disagree to an extent.

I agree that he is not a beast, but he will defo be able to hold the ball up with his good first touch and decent strength.

He definitely did not get bullied by any defenders in the first three group games.

Imo opinion he is not a back to goal centre forward, neither one who will constantly get in behind, but a hybrid of both.
