I'd take him now and take the risk like Rom just needs a number of games to prove himself, hopefully end up a bargain.

China is funny mate, remember what they were willing to pay for that Ighalo from Watford?

I won't even pretend to apply any sort of rules of logic and reason to what they do because it was so unreasonable that they had to bring that tax in to kerb it.

Your point about "For this guy?" is one I think that doesn't really make sense. Take Ighalo for example, he wasn't a world beater and they wanted him. They can't get the world beaters and they were already paying through the nose to bring average talent over there

This tax puts them in a weird position where, even if they want to improve the team with a foreign player they can no longer go after the ludicrously expensive signings because of the tax. Cenk might represent value to money to them in what is a limited player market for them to operate in.

As I said though, I won't pretend to be able to make sense of Chinese football.
