Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

If he can give us the threat to score that Oumar gives with the ability to be useful in the build up play on a consistent basis then he will be a major help

I have doubts about Cenk's suitability after watching latest Everton games in detail. Besiktas's gameplay is extremely different. Cenk gets a lot of help from wingers in Besiktas. I realize you dont really appreciate Ryan Babel's amazing form during 2017 but he is back in Dutch national team and has been most effective player, and Q7 has been quite fruitful except his foolish attitudes but his crosses have been 8 out of 10 all season, plus they have a player on loan from Benfica called Talisca I think he has potential to be next Rivaldo, when he plays Defenders are having trouble controlling both even in Champions League Level so really attacking minded team I think Everton needs Besiktas coach Senol Gunes more than Cenk Tosun to be honest. I am not looking down on Everton, and yes except 6 maybe 7 teams in Turkish Super League, Defensive positioning is indeed weak for the rest of the League. But watching Everton was painful against Bournemouth. I just hope Big Sam does change things around after new years because Everton has so much potential.

Whether Tosun is the answer, we'll have to wait and see, but you hope we miss out on him!? I'd like to think he's not going to be the only guy we sign mate, hopefully we get an attacking left back for starters along with a faster centre back to push us up the pitch. But I'm sure you'll agree that doing nothing at all would be a much worse option than actually looking to upgrade our striker?
I like your optimism about all we're going n to do this window but I'm skeptical. The point being I don't think Tosun is an upgrade or at least nowhere near 25m worth of an upgrade.

Hope this bloke can do literally everything needed of a professional footballer and then some

Otherwise he's not what this club needs right now

Well despite the previous reports claiming the deal is done, sources from inside the club (Besiktas) reports that negotiations are far from over. There is still a 5M difference between what Besiktas asks and what EFC offers. And also EFC wants to make the payment distributed in a year, whereas Besiktas wants it all at once.

There are other clubs involved too. Mentioned before were WHU and Newcastle. In addition, Sunderland and Napoli are interested. RB Leipzig has already made an offer better than EFC (28M) and they agree that Cenk can stay in Besiktas until the end of season so both Besiktas and Leipzig can benefit from him playing in CL last 16.

While Cenk wants to play in the EPL, it seems the more acceptable offer came from Leipzig so the club is reluctant to let Cenk go for anything lower than £30M.

Everything you've typed there is utter wham

Maybe? I don't know what "wham" is but as before, I am sharing information that is being discussed in Turkish forums/news/twitter and these reports are claimed to be coming from people inside the club so it is your (or everyone's own) choice to take them into account. I personally believe he is still close to EFC and I prefer Cenk to play in EPL. But if it really is true that Leipzig offered 28M and let Cenk play for Besiktas for the rest of the season then I don't think the club will look for another offer.

He better be pictured holding up an Everton shirt tomorrow with that Angry Bird or I will be fuming.

Clubs interested (allegedly of course): Crystal Palace, Newcastle United, West Ham United, Valencia, Arsenal, Roma, Liverpool, Sunderland, Napoli, RB Leipzig and of course Everton. Yes, wtf :)

There seems to be a lot of infollution atm, so I think it is best to wait and see what happens. But as a member here mentioned before Turks are a little impatient and Besiktas will need a striker in his place, so if these negotiations take longer than 3-4 days then he will probably stay with Besiktas.

Is there a team in China with a billionaire owner called Sunderland mate? Because I can pretty much guarantee the club in the north east of this country is not signing a £25m player from a champions league club...

I don't know if there is one :) But again I said above that there is a lot of infollution. I think Sunderland, Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Palace and even WHU is very unlikely. The ones seem to make sense are EFC, Leipzig and Valencia. And tbh I prefer EFC or (if possible) Tottenham because I want him in EPL. (I am well aware that Tottenham can do much better but still..)
