Confirmed Signing Cenk Tosun

We have seen it before, thats why. At all clubs. Maybe a fee weighs on a player, the weather, the difference in the pace and frequency of games, could be anything,

There is a reason why the World watches the PL, and not, with respect, the Turkish league. Its fast, competitive, and unpredictable. Kevin De Bruyne didnt work out his first time in it, nor Mo Salah. Plenty of others too.

that's true. so what about players who can adapt. kdb and salah comebacks are also some good examples. it is really weird though, they are now world class. Turkish players mostly tend to adapt la liga easier -I don't even know why, lol. I don't think the weather would be challenge, well at least he is not coming to finland... can say that Cenk Tosun is a hard working player. He worked with Demba, Mario Gomez and then Aboubakar who were better players than him at first. He didn't only worked with them but also compete with them. He was the 2nd option as striker -still he never gave up. So basically this is the reason why he is now a first choice striker for Besiktas.

He's stuck in the bogs. Won't give the little old toilet attendant a coin after having a slash. Major standoff.
Probs been to the cages where the turkish women go and brass themselves off to pay off family debt.
Not that I've ever been to them meself like..

Hopefully not a Marco Boojers/Andrea Silenzi/Sergei Rebrov etc

Surely there’s an Argentinian prodigy (with a European passport) a cross between Mario Kempes and Gabriel Batistuta who’s always loved Everton (his uncle is a season ticket holder in the upper bullens).......Can we not sign this guy?

If he arrives then I wish him all the best. Crazy to say but I hope he doesn't score a couple on his debut or he will get slaughtered on here if he doesn't do it every game.
The ones who write someone off when they know nothing about him are best ignored so it's best to ignore everyone and join the few who want him to succeed. If and when he scores then we can argue and debate with the doubters that a goal is a goal because they would have already said that there granny could have scored it.

Sorry about that but like you it really does my head in when someone is written off before judgement can even be passed. Maybe they are craving attention or just miserable gets.

Nah, they're just pissed that we're not signing Messi.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everybody! I've got people staying over at ours so I've not been on here at all this week.

What's the score? Are we for it or against it?
He was crap, boss, a bargain and an overpriced risk all in about an hour yesterday mate.
Hope that helps and that you've had a nice xmas.

We tend to see fewer players not adapting these days as opposed to a few years back. Clubs have far more in place to help them settle, and the sheer number of foreign countries with players here mean that every squad is multi cultural, so less a feeling of isolation. Speaking, or having a basic grasp of English helps, obviously.

Hope he does well, and enjoys his time in England and at Everton.

A Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year to you too Frandilino.

This one is ON and it looks as we've signed the Turkish Strac.

Hope this helps. Oh and Sod the Habs.

Ah the usual then. Looking forward to him. I wonder if they're trying to work Niasse going the other way into the deal.

Hey everyone,

I'm a Besiktas fan and since the Everton signing became highlighted in the media, I'm reading the debates about Cenk here with great interest. I wanna add couple of things which may give you some relief.

I saw many comments like "Damn! We're buying a player from a trash league" Well, I agree that to a point; although the level of football in Turkish league is based on highly physical and defensive and not so exciting as PL but you are buying a player from a Top Tier club in this league.

Besiktas DNA is; "attack all the game, be competitive in every challenge, aim for the League title in every damn season, 2nd place accepted as failure". You are going to get a player from such club. Cenk adapted to the fan/media and club pressure, served us well and blended himself very well to play for a winner team. Premier League is a challenge for him only physically- mentally he is already on that level.

My only concern is, Everton is a great club but far from any success for a long, long time. He used to play for a Top Tier team for 5 years, breath the air of high competition and unfortunately he is going to a club which roams around pos. 6-10 for years. I hope he will keep his pace and appetite.

So please keep it in mind that if Cenk signs Everton it's because of 3 reasons; Bid level is unrejectable for the club - Everton is the "best" option out of other bidders from PL at the moment - He wants to play in PL. That's it.

He is not a trash player or some noob from Dutch/Belgian League playing vs easy defenders. soft gamer or pos.5-10 teams who has no DNA of winner. He is a winner player and you gonna love him.
