Yeah I saw his answer. I just saw the video this morning and the picture on the homepage where they're all sat in the stands and it isn't in either of those so I'd assumed it wasn't included in the release.

The material costs to make these, as with almost all clothing, are the lowest they've ever been.

From what I've read, football shirts cost an average of £8 to make. Based on an £80 shirt, the retailer and manufacturer make around £30 each per shirt. Rest is other costs.

About £4 goes direct to the club unless it's also the retailer.

So make that what you will. Castore make £30 per shirt I believe.

They also pay Everton a fair few million to make them…

Yes. £20mill a year. 8th largest in the league.

So we, like all clubs, get more upside in the kit deal per year. So the price of the kits mainly go to the manufacturers to make that outlay worthwhile.

I initially didn't like the new home shirt looks too much like a deck chair or a swimming cosy. But it'll do it's ok. The price is stupid.

Don’t mind the new kit the price is obviously obscene and the stake sponsorship is equally as bad.

Bigger brand doesn't always mean better quality, this is my St. Pauli shirt after two washes (washed it inside out).

The white socks thing is a pretty new phenomenon to be honest, it's not like that's traditionally how our kits have been. I'd guess the recent run of kits over the last 10 years or so is probably the longest period we've ever had white socks for.

Was just thinking about this, post 86 (Lineker) kit most kits had blue socks? when did white socks come back? was it the sort of lighter royal blue One 2 One kit? still got my hot rocked one somewhere
