Carsley

Whether Moyes and Carsley would take this I don’t know, but Moyes on 18th month contract and Carsley as no 2 and then promoted to manager?

You can’t definitely say that would happen, but you can let them know that would be the plan which would also include extending Thelwell contract by a year, and then Moyes moves into DoF position.

I think he’s already turned down the West Brom job ,although short term he managed England and he was linked to wolves more than once . You’d imagine he’s well passed taking a number two job .

Get Carsley in at least we will attack teams. We have players who can score if played right. Under Dyche we just build a wall and hope for a point.

Sure we'll attack.

We still wouldn't score (maybe the odd one).

We'd concede a ton.

Carso like loads of midfielders too. We have 4.

I'd be happy with that , although I'd prefer a break from the past.

However there are a lot of moving parts to your plan , but at least it's a plan.

Moyes would dictate the contract. Not the club.

I think discussions along these lines have taken place, but obviously stumbling blocks to it happening (I'd guess Moyes). It would be a sensible option if all parties were up for it.

It’s just a pity that Heitinger has gone to the RS, he may have formed part of Carsley back room staff. Not because he is ex blue but because he highly thought of.

He might prefer to be working with younger players who are still learning the game. Less ego`s to try to manage and as players moved onto senior level a new crop of players would come along to work with. He might also favor being in a more coaching. Plenty of people down the years have had good careers as no. 2 but just could n`t cut it in the manager role.

Possibly but this thread is about Carsley and I was offering an alternative

The two are in a position to dictate what they want.

Carsley definitely doesn't want to be a number 2 before taking a managers job - he's done that. He'll want a proper job.

Moyes wouldn't take a job just to be replaced.

Both would want a long term project.

Yeah but usually when they’ve failed rather than just after they’ve coached a national team to relative success .
