As per my previous post, my favorite car of all time is this, a (stunning) 1966 Ferrari GTS. As you can see by my post above, two of the cars I want to buy look similar, especially my first choice, the Fiat 124 Spider. Either one of the cars above will cost me less than 10 grand. The ferarri would cost me about 1.5-2 million.

Spyder is the one mate, just as good looking as the Ferarri, but without the power.
If your serious, don't even contemplate buying any of those cars unless you have a dry garage, a good mechanic and a ready source of spares !
Used to park next to one of these every night upon going into work. Took extra care not to knock it.Here is the 124 Spider in red. I know, I know - but really if you are going to buy an Italian vintage sports car is there any other color than red to go with? It would be my first choice. Her it is compared to the upcoming 2017 124 Spider - pretty nice in its own right eh?

As I have researched this A LOT, quite a few of my friends and acquaintances have asked my why the Fiat 124, why not the Alfa Romeo Spider? While I agree the Alfa is also a great looking car, there is just more charm to the Fiat, in my opinion. Plus its from the 60's - the era I want to buy from for nostalgic reasons, and I can not afford a 60's Alfa.
Here is a 1985 Alfa Romeo Spider, with another shot of the Fiat 124 below to compare. Anyone disagree the Fiat is the better looking of the two?
Oh I agree mate, my first choice by a long shot is the Fiat - its a beautiful car. A little bigger, slightly more reliable and a LITTLE less prone to rust than the Spitfire or TR6. I will buy one, bt I live in Alaska where it rains every day, so yes I agree. I need a garage first.
Assuming you mean £2k and not £20, you should get a solid golf for that.I need a cheap run for less than £20 whilst I figure out what I'm going to do more long term.
Any ideas? The first one that came to my mind is a Fiesta.
