Here's mine. Well, it's the same, anyway, but with a different plate:

I drive an Audi 80 B4 from '94; 2.0L E (fuel-injection) engine, 115bhp.

My first car too! Love it to bits, even if it's old. Might take pictures, but it's dirty as [Poor language removed] at the moment.

Those were wicked cars. My mate had a diesel one that he had for about 10 years, had 250,000 on the clock when he got rid of it and it was still running like it had just driven out of the showroom. Ace.

So got the Puma back.

Turns out they reckon it was a broken brake shoe. What the hell is a brake shoe?! And does £98 for the everything sound right?

Anyway, seems to have done the job but we'll see. I'm not confident. I think I might sell it and look for something else.

Doesn't sound too bad, maybe a little on the steep side. Dunno really, been years since I've owned a car with drum brakes, and never had a shoe break.

Brake shoes go inside the brake drums, and house the brake block that pushes on the wall of the brake drum to stop your car. They're kind of like pads for drum brakes. Disc brakes have pads, drum brakes have shoes, put simply.
