Everybody tells me it's a girls car but I think I'm man enough to pull it off. They said the same when I bought my Mulberry handbag but who's laughing now? Admittedly mostly they are. But I have good days.

....a little MGF. They seem very reasonably priced. Slightly more powerful than my god awful Puma, and have a soft top which I'm very excited about!

However, from looking at reviews it seems some do have problems with the head gasket going kaboom occasionally...do I risk it?!

Theres a reason they are cheap mate.

I used to work for a garage, due to the price of parts and other stuff, most got written off rather than fixed due to the cost.

Wouldnt touch 1 with a ****ty stick.

Ijj, if you are intent on buying something that will self-destruct, just get an Alfa. Probably a 147 or the like. Gorgeous cars, full of character, and is guaranteed to develop 'features' (as Alfa owners call breakdowns).

I've always liked FTO's, mainly because they were ace in Gran Turismo. I was pondering buying one at one point but at the time the insurance would have been horrible.
