You wouldn't go far wrong with a first generation Ford Focus mate. They're good cars to drive, quite reliable and the parts are relatively cheap if you have a problem. Alternatively have a good look for something with really low mileage and it could save you loads of money in the long run.

I've scrapped my last two cars. I crashed my first one in to a ditch whilst driving for Dominos when I was 18 (on my last fookin shift ffs!) and my old Fiesta had about 800 quid worth of repairs needed so that got crushed too. You may be surprised how much you would get for it, especially if it has alloy wheels, I got nearly 200 for my W reg Fiesta.

Cheers mate.

To be honest. I've gone right off Fords after this.

like somebody has allready said you can't go wrong with a japanese car, i had a nissan micra a few years back which was fantastic, i now have a honda 4x4 which is also fantastic, never once let me down and safe as houses...... i also have a 307 which is a pile pf shoite lol

Ha. Fair enough mate, my Fiesta was an absolute nightmare thinking about it, I was really unlucky with it. I think because it was a 1.6 it had been ragged round the world before I had even got it. I had to buy a new engine for it ffs, which came out of Puma actually.

A Japenese or German car would be ideal, but you get so much less for your money compared to a European car.
