Whenever I’ve been angry or annoyed at someone, spitting at them has never even crossed my mind. It’s not like he even had the excuse that he was drunk.

If ever there was an example of the cult's maxim "Offended by everything, ashamed of nothing" it is this incident. It fits in with carragher’s i’ve No excuses other than these excuses tweet
Yup. They are seriously holed below the waterline on this, because to pull that off and be convincing rather than laughable the analyst has to have credibility, and he has none. What Sky need to think about is, if they were stupid enough to keep him on, how can anybody possibly take the cretin seriously ever again?
It's not just about spitting. ANY violent, abusive, racist, etc. incident on the pitch can't possibly be criticised in an impartial manner by the freak.
How could a man who spits in the face of a child conceivably comment, for example, "he shouldn't have reacted like that," to any controversial incident?

Maybe he;s made the calculation that if they didn't drop it then there would have been dire consequences. I certainly wouldn't have ruled out he or others in his family being seriously or even fatally attacked....and I think we all KNOW that was a strong likelihood.
