We’ve played full strength very good Liverpool teams at Anfield, played well, but gone away with a draw or loss and received zero credit, just the media laughing at how we didn’t win again. They’ve come to Goodison and played teams we’ve put out that have been injury ravaged, down to ten men, shafted by horrifying refereeing, yet no one cares afterwards, just more mocking if we’ve lost, or belittling if we drew.

Now all of a sudden when we win it has to come with a load of caveats? No it doesn’t. The conditions of every derby are different and if we’ve received criticism in the past regardless of the circumstances then they deserve it now. Not arsed about their injuries, we had to play Matthew Pennington at Anfield once and no one said anything after that game. The wind and lack of fans was the same for both teams.
The fans in anfield is a big part, we all know the kop get on their backs and drive them forward.

Carlo Anchelotti has already achieved more then any Everton manager has in over a deacde this season (possibly even longer). He's finally got the monkey off our back with a win at Castle Grayskull, thus breaking a massive psychological hold they had over us and lead the team to win that cup win against Spurs in a way that we'd of never managed under any of the previous clowns that have been our manager in recent years. Obviously its not been perfect this season and Anchelotti has made a few mistakes himself but the good he's done make those mistakes pale in insignificance. Finally a manager that understands the true meaning of Nil Satis Nisi Optimum!

Speaking of such things. Where are you today?

RIght here pal. I give him credit for not picking Sigurdsson and James in the same eleven. Took him just over 6 months to see the plain evident. I give him credit for leading us for the historic win at Anfield.

But do I believe in his unsustainable negative brand of football? No. It really does make him look like a genius cos his over conservative approach pulled off against the RS. They're better suited for away games at RS or Man City.

But I cannot absolve him for the atrocious game plans and negative tactics of 30% possession from 1960s which made us look Championship material in past 4 games at home. Those games made him look clueless and genuinely make me worry as more times you bottles simpler games with such negative tactics.

And yet they went over thirty years without a title?

This summer will be huge for Liverpool as it is a real test for their owners, Liverpool have had enormous success (unfortunately ) in the last few seasons and yet they generally have to sell before buying any player of consequence.

Their season had not imploded at the beginning of January and investment in players may have saved their season but it didn't happen.
I cannot help but feel that FSG are the scouse version of Kroenke except they got lucky with the magerial appointment. Part of their problem is a small squad which can't cope with injury.

If the God's would smile on us and they finish out of the top four they may have real problems

@matty1878 throw away the key this time.

How can you go from writing paragraphs on why you think carlo is failing and not the man. Then flip on one game. I know it was that game. But it was a one of game. I said it already if we had of beat Fulham everyone be talking up champions league. And alas they are talking about it again.

This serial cup winner Carlos first season and he already one a cup in my eyes.

Whats next?
