Exactly, last time I looked they had 8 of their first 11 starting that game. I’d have taken that almost every single time for Everton in a derby where we’re nearly always missing 5 or 6 of our best players.
I recall past derbies when their kids have done us. Or when the little gargoyle who ended up at Bolton ran the midfield. Or when King Orc Skirtl came back from the cold to dominate our forward line. There's been plenty where they've 'not been at full strength'. Excuses.

Brilliant stuff from The Maestro.. they went in with no inferiority complex, on the back of two lousy results and missing two vital players. What can you say about the back line and who was this keeper we played? Davies, Douc.. Richo working the defence manfully, James threading lovely passes, Gomes sniding his way into the book (still has to work on his defending!)...

The RS had their Glen Keeley moment (except it took him twenty seconds to give up a silly corner from which we could have scored and two more minutes before we capitalised..)

Incidentally that's our fastest winning goal in a Derby since Derek Temple netted in less than a minute on the way to a 4-0 win at the Pit (oh happy day!) way back in about 1964. (I think Dacourt scored a faster one but we lost that game in true Everton That fashion).

So we've beaten Arsenal, Chelsea, and Leicester. Ok, we have tended to do that over the years now and then.
We've won away at Spurs. Fair play, we haven't done that too often in recent years.
We've snatched a point from impending doom at Old Trafford having been two down. Cool! But we have some form for this.
We've won a cup tie against a "top six" club having conceded four. Wow! 1991 revisited!
We've won a derby at Anfield. 1999 revisited!

We've often done one or maybe two, at a stretch, of these things in any given season over the last 30 years. But have we ever really done the lot in one season? I don't think so. This shows that Carlo loves to operate against the big boys. That's his level. He can take them on one-on-one with what he has, but imagine what he could do against them - and the so-called lesser clubs - if we do actually furnish him with "big six" level players? Back him Moshiri! It's an obligation!

The professor. Look at that grin.

He completely Trolled our ENTIRE fanbase in one of the most pressured games of the season and we all owe him a MASSIVE apology.

This season he has tactical changed to make us nothing short of amazing at times.

Yes we have had slip ups but every club has included City.

Fingers crossed we navigate through March with a good points tally because it's a real shame we don't see this great man and this upcoming squad play against European clubs.
