We still have the majority of the players remaining from the last three/four years, too many of our "squad" are crocks or who can only be called on for 25/30 minutes maximum each game, Bernard, Delph, Iwobi, Siguurdsonn,Gomes, Coleman now is injury prone, Kenny,Mina can't string two games together,so many, this is a massive task for Carlo,he will be backed I am sure, but it is no quick fix, this current lot need moving on and replacing with far better quality and more important we need to start purchasing athletes imho.
A number of those players you mention are Brands bought players yet the happy clappers think he can do no wrong, i personally think Walsh and Brands have been as bad as each other. Recruitment is a massive issue for us and we have to sort it once and for all, it's getting beyond the joke now imo and i agree with you on the fitness thing, have said before we look woefully unfit at times and that is something that goes back long before Carlo was here.

He’s undoubtedly the biggest name manager we could have recruited but the reality is that it looks like it was the wrong appointment.

Duncan Ferguson was getting as much out of the squad as Ancelotti has done.

I’m not sure we need to be paying any manager £11m a year to basically get us midtable.
To be fair Silva had pretty much the same group of players near the bottom of the table lol

Ancelotti is the right appointment if we back him with funds. He’s not going to do a Sean Dyche type job, he’s a cheque book manager.

You define a year as a handful of months?
What was he supposed to do last season ffs? He stopped the rot and got the terrible group of losers to stumble over the line finishing the season safe in mid-table. That was all he could do and he did it.

This is his first real season and the summer was his first real transfer window. Its a working progress, whoever the manager is needs time. You can't fix seven years of horrendous mismanagement in one single transfer window. No manager can polish a turd and our squad is a turd. It will take years to fix us no matter who manager is. Say we sack Ancelotti, we'll be right back here in eighteen mouths or less with you and others rounding on the latest scapegoat. How can you not see it ffs?!

I am not advocating firing Carlo, far from it, but, something has to change. We repeatedly select Siggy, Delph and Tosun, the first 2 often played out of position. None of the three are good enough and at their age they will not be improving.

We have both full backs injured and play midfield players out of position to replace them.

If Carlo has so little trust in players who may improve with game time, then Gordon, Simms and Nkounkou need to go on loan to get much needed games and Kenny must be let go as, if he can't get a game when he is the only fit right back at the club, then he is just wasting wages

Ancelotti didn’t stop the rot. Duncan Ferguson did.

Brands definitely not immune to criticism. A mixed bag when it comes to recruitment. Here’s hoping we get a couple of players in over January and fire Gylfi out of a cannon.

Ancelotti has been the first manager to give Sigurdsson a regular seat on the bench. Tosun hasn't started 1 match under Ancelotti. Delph has started 1 league game this season.

Maybe we just don't have any squad depth and there are no attractive options when we get a couple of injuries?

People go on about how its as simple as benching Sigurdsson (which i agree with), but the evidence shows its not. The alternative options are just as poor!

It is a myth that the team is rubbish. It's not CL quality, but it's definitely top 10 quality.

For the seventh year in a row, under the sixth manager in a row we're garbage yet again. How can anyone not see the pattern here? The manager isn't the problem ffs! How painfully obvious does it have to get before the bedwtetters finally understand?! Some of you don't deserve good managers or players. You have no loyalty and will turn on anyone at the first sign of adversity. Some on here would deserve it if the club signed Ian Holloway or some other no-mark to a lifetime contract.

What is the problem then? You failed to actually say what it is in your rant.

nobody’s blagging he’s immune from criticism because he’s “carlo ancellotti” ffs. Stop this bad shout, it’d a slump in form, you have just said he will turn it around

panic over then ;)
The panic will be over when we stop putting performances like that out every week feller

The players. It doesn't take a genius to work it out. You'd have to be an utter moron to not see it at this point. Manager after manager sacked while a core of players stay around. We have recruited terribly and brought in garbage. Combine that with being trigger happy with managers so we're in a continual state of rebuilding and how could we ever be anything else other then garbage.
