A manager who could give us back our soul as a club would do me, someone to make me feel a connection with the club again, like when Moyes was here (I'm not saying we should go out and bring him back) who that man is I don't know.

Brighton are a club with a clear direction, we are a club that needs an identity, and not one built around the manager. We need to move in the same direction as Chelsea, Leicester, Villa, Brentford etc. The manager will come and go, but players, fans etc need to know what Everton is, currently we are a pension fund for old crocks and a big contract for moderate players who stood out at relegated clubs.

I wouldn’t say abused the fans more misled the fans. Only a couple of months ago he spoke about how happy he was here, living in the area and speaking about leading the club into the new stadium and the long term project of the club. From this to today’s events...

Perhaps abused is the wrong word, but you're right in that he implied a commitment to the "project".
