On paper that team has enough quality to be matching Brighton. I do agree our squad is terrible. I don’t blame him for this defeat but for me injuries is not an excuse for that level of performance. They’re Premier Legaue footballers. To not be able to make a few forward passes close down or stay switched on at set pieces is diabolical. The team of individuals he has at his disposal is terrible, it’s genuinely disgusting.

I don’t know what people expect when you see some kids filling almost the entire bench. Expecting to overcome a defensive side with Davies, Holgate and Siggy as cm...

We didn’t play that way at the start or middle of the season. The injury to Doucoure seems to have moved Carlo to a permanent back 5 though and we just can’t play it.

If the performances, Liverpool excepted, over the last 3/4 months had been served up by Marco Silva, big Sam, or Bobby, they'd be getting rightfully slaughtered. Carlo's lucky many of our fans still seem to be taken by the name as I've seen not a lot to make me see improvement.

The absolutely pathetic one or two man press, which makes it so easy to play out against, which we employ against the so called smaller teams is utterly embarrassing. We don't need to worry about that against the bigger sides as we sit so deep we don't even get to press. The ultra negative set ups are clearly on a par with Allerdyce.

I hope he gets it right, and accept that we have many players out, but it's poor, so very poor. 48% win ratio and fast dropping into the Silva, Bobby and fat Samuel range. He needs to do better as the 9th highest paid manager in the world for me, not necessarily in results, but in showing signs of improvement, of which there hasn't been many, if any.

Don’t want him gone but I think it’s time he at least gambles playing some of the U23 lads if he’s gonna name them in the bench. They really cannot do much worse surely?
