That happened because everyone just decided to stop playing thinking the ref was going to blow his whistle. Just idiots on the pitch there. Gylfi had a chance to kick pop the ball up and pulled back because, again, they THOUGHT they were going to blow the whistle.

We had a few chances, yes we had to defend for the bulk of the match but in no way were we outplayed today. Tactically Carlo and the team had a plan, it worked pretty much as we thought it would but we didn't create as much as we needed to when the chances arose but City are class and at the moment we aren't near them in those terms.

Then it was a flawed plan.

We need to find a way of attacking effectively with the players available between now and the end of the season.

We don't look like scoring. Players lack in responsibility to put the ball in the box and it goes backwards and an opportunity gone.

There isn't joined up thinking between the forwards, they play balls hoping for the best.

The way we played tonight was probably the best way to play - if you can take an opportunity. We never looked a threat.

The season is in danger of petering out and ending disappointingly. It's already another season without success, no European football would feel a bit of a failure at this point.
